CRUS

This programme was written to analyse output files from microSIRIL.

If you use microSIRIL then you have the option rather than use the screen as the output to change to either the printer or to write to a file.

If you use the command everyrow= "@" the output file will contain everyrow. What this programme does is analyse this file to tell you about role ups and other musical changes.

The programme is self running and easy to follow all you need to do is set the output in microSIRIL to something like C:\peal.txt

And quote this when asked for a file name by the CRU programme.

CHECK MINOR FILES

This programme is similar to the above in that it will look at a text file produced by microSIRIL. However this programme was written for checking blocks of minor. Again using microSIRIL you can produce false compositions i.e. a 1440 of minor by using the command conflict=
set the output to file as above and then look at the file. This programme will then check that you to not have any one row more or less than the required number. I have used when checking 1440 blocks of minor and peals etc.

If you have problem with the microSIRIL commands then refer to the documentation. microSIRIL is available from Andrew Craddock .

These programmes were written to do a job, they come as they are and therefore are a bit rough. They do however work. There is no guarantee and you download and use them at your own risk. Should you however have any queries e-mail me and I will see what I can do to
